Could use some improvements.

We've bought them repeatedly, not because we're thrilled with their performance, but because they're about comparable to anything else on the market in their length and weight class. To be honest our dogs live about 2 months. They tend to snap just below the hook. I believe it cracks first, then moisture seeps in and rusts the metal enough to weaken it. At least there should be some kind of rubber reinforcement or something similar at this point. I would love to find something stronger and more

Holds my St. Bernard

We have a pretty dodgy St. Bernard that has figured out our fence fasteners. He secured them with padlocks and decided to break through the fence. Twice. It was clear that we needed a means of keeping him in line and also giving him some freedom of movement. Looking around a bit, we stumbled over a giant four-legged stake. Paired with a chain to leash a prestigious Superbeast it has held up for two months now and I have not had to replace a single fence post. Sunbeds only. The chain is strongโ€ฆ

Outstanding high-performance screed!

I currently use 3 of these cables for my dogs. I tried other strings. They twist and tangle easily. The cable in the Beast Tie Out will not tangle or twist. The locking hook is strong and easy to remove. I live in Jamaica and have large dogs that pull on these ties all the time. After about 18 months, the cable finally rusts at the ends due to the salty air. I've had a few of them that needed replacing for this reason, but I'd say it's normal wear and tear due to the environment and not aโ€ฆ

Works well under torture!

We have used several as tie downs for our 110 lbs. German shepherd in front. He's a big guy and loves to pull cables while barking at deer, foxes, cats and other distractions that roam our yard. It does a great job of keeping it where it needs to be. We swap it out for a new one every few years because the cable's plastic coating eventually cracks from drying out in the sun and then our dog pulls and pulls on it. The sheathing eventually ruptures, allowing moisture to enter the cable, where itโ€ฆ

250 pounds of what?

THIS PRODUCT IS A PIECE OF SHIT AND I'LL SPEND 29.95 ON IT! MY DOG IS IN THE YARD AND I USE HIM TO KEEP HIM IN THE YARD UNTIL I GET HIM OUT SEVERAL TIMES EITHER DAY OR NIGHT BUT THIS IS USED MORE TO KEEP HIM IN THE YARD AND AVOID PROBLEMS WITH EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS. THIS THING WAS BROKEN DUE TO THE WEATHER AND MY DOG PULLING BUT ONLY LASTED 2 MONTHS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE! MY PIT BULL IS NOT THAT BIG BUT IT IS STRONG AS HELL AND PUTTING A 250LB CHAIN ON IT SHOULD LAST MORE THANโ€ฆ

Defective but functional

Yes it's a beast but I would have preferred a thinner stainless steel version. We attached it to a 75-foot suspension cable and it introduced a lot of slack. One end of the barrel ends with a side door where we remove the dog and hang the breech on the hook. Now the Beast's 30-foot lead is hanging too low over the pavement because the weight of the lead causes sag, causing the reel to slide downhill. The clasps are a big weight issue, they are too heavy. As for the locking mechanism, yes it's a

Definitely heavy here

I bought a Prestige Super-Beast Dog Tie Out (30ft) to replace the one that got rusty and broke over the winter. I have a 52 lb Beagle/German Shepherd mix and she is quite strong. So when I saw that this binding wasn't more expensive than the lighter version, I thought it would be a good choice. It's definitely a tie worthy of the Superbeast name. This is a very thick metal cable covered in a thick gray vinyl jacket. The fasteners at both ends are also very large and heavy. Overall, he probablyโ€ฆ
