I saw mixed reviews for this product but bought it anyway. It worked! For the past five years, my waterfalls have always produced thick, ugly stringy algae; but not this summer. I followed the directions (although I don't have a precise idea of my water feature) and there was only some surface weed on some rocks. Filamentous algae have never reared their ugly heads this summer, and I'm thrilled. I was out of town this fall and forgot to leave instructions for the housekeeper and after my 4 week absence I had some small clumps of seaweed waiting for me. So yes, the thing does something. I don't think this will get rid of all forms of algae, but at least my thread algae got rid of it.
