Update 11/11/2021: Air Travel! We took this bag to United with no sizing issues - I measured and found we were about 3 inches too big so went with a smaller spare which I never needed. Check out the photos - the aisle in our particular aircraft configuration (it didn't seem to matter if it was center or side as long as you had an aisle seat) fared much better than a window seat due to the bulkiness of the outlet. be on the move. We got a scratch trying to fit under this socket and ended up having to flip the bag to the side. No other issues, it was a great flight holdall now that we know which seat to book! --- I bought this for my 13 lb cat to replace a bag that was too small. My only concern is that I would rather take the protective plastic off the clear panels before sewing them on. It was a damn good experience to make it nice and tidy. Or could they at least strip the edges so the plastic is protected during shipping? It was the least fun lesson I've had in a long time. It also smells slightly at first, but I've had that with other cat bags before. Otherwise my cat loves this bag. It seems big enough to him and he accepted it immediately and sat in it happily for several hours when it arrived, although he was free to leave at any time. I chose this model because of the transparent panels, the expandable section and the fact that you can open the top flap to look out at the world. It also has a safety lanyard attached to the bottom which I found (from reviews of other products) was the perfect place to prevent bad things from happening in the event of a jump attempt. The only downside to this type of bag is that it can be unstable for your passenger to walk on if they want to stick their head out of the hatch when they need to sit down. I think it's the same issue with other cat backpacks, but this bag is roomy enough to stress that. Wear it carefully! Kitty has enough space to accidentally slip. I recommend having someone help you pick it up (like having someone help you put on your coat) or put the bag on a chair first and put it on that way. It was just the right size for my 13 lb cat. It was roomy when sat down, but only big enough when curled up to lie down (not extended). This product is exactly as shown in the picture, lucky cat, lucky person. And lots of compliments!
