Bought for my 8 year old who hates combing his hair because he has a sensitive head. But he also wants to grow his hair out (looks 80's style) so he needs to brush and groom it. He took it right out of the box and literally combed his hair in less than 5 minutes. The head is whole, no complaints, I do not force it. So yes, I am very happy with this purchase. And his hair is really straight. The oil doesn't make the hair very greasy, but it still smells nice.
