I had a brass finish pendant lamp on my wall and replaced it with this to match the decor. This is a fairly cheaply made light, no better than a brass lamp (also Chinese). The brass lamp has a metal box that you can attach to the wall first and then attach the lamp to it. Instead, the Fry lamp uses only a flat panel that cannot fully adhere to the wall due to lamp mounting posts. I stuck a rectangular junction box into the wall and connected 120V to keep the cord from hanging off the wall. I had to drill a flat plate to align with each junction box screw hole. If I cut a larger round hole for a round junction box, the metal plate would probably work without drilling another hole in it. I installed it today, I think it will be good for my purposes. It looks good. I just think for the money there could have been a better wall mount system.
