This shift knob is over 5 inches tall and sits much higher than a standard knob making shifting easier as you have more leverage on the lever. Floor. This isn't the type of switch that sits low, although the handle is hollow and if you could make a switch you could use it like that. I used the largest adapter thread on my Subaru 5 derailleur which uses an M12 thread with a 1.25 pitch. The adapters are smooth on the inside, so you basically cut your own threads during assembly. With that in mind, make sure you don't have a crooked handle, otherwise it will look like a cross thread and slightly bent. Overall I am satisfied with this pen. It looks amazing, the unique colors are just like the photo: blue at the top, yellow in the middle and a purple tint at the bottom. The metal is reflective and doesn't seem to get too hot or too cold, but I'm also used to the metal shift knob. Good quality handle, plastic adapters are the only weak point but if you take the time to install it it fits tight and doesn't come loose. You can unscrew it if needed, but I haven't tested what happens if you uninstall and install it multiple times. I believe you can buy more adapters if you damage or wear out the ones that come with them.
