Great low cost projector with good quality and design.

Excellent picture quality, design and functionality. Could be a little smaller, but the comfy, fabric-lined, well-padded tote bag makes it feel a bit out of place, making it easy to take with the family on vacation. Out of the box, the projector is easy to set up and use in minutes; The operating instructions are simple and clear. I've been able to test it with Roku and my laptop to watch movies, show photos (my favorite part) and access many types of media: USB sticks, SD cards, computers, etc. I've wanted to get one of these for many years: I have thousands of saved slides that I want to scan and convert into JPG images that I can finally share with family and friends. Watching movies with it isn't my priority right now: picture and sound are clear and loud enough for indoor use, but I might consider adding an external speaker or hooking up my stereo with built-in audio output if I decide to watch it movies. The fan could be a bit quieter, but is not very noticeable after a few minutes. The image quality is really good: vertical distortions (trapezoidal projection of the image) can be corrected and the brightness can be adjusted for the ambient light conditions for daytime viewing (indoors) or for a darker environment. I'm currently projecting onto the wall in my living room, which isn't the best way to see the image, but I'm encouraged to dig up the roll-up screen I've been keeping in my basement for years, and after years of retiring my slide projector, I set it up . There's no autofocus, but once you set it up, do you need it? Another great feature is that it can be used on a tripod or flipped upside down and mounted on the ceiling for a real "home theater" feel. A compact remote control is extremely useful in such a situation. I am very satisfied so far. Thank you DBPower!
