Nice addition to the garage

This reader is a real improvement over others I have used. Sturdy carrying case, instructions, various cables. Good readability, touchscreen display and well thought-out handling. I used this on a 2011 Rav 4 to run a system diagnostics test and evaluate wheel speed functionality (i.e. verify that all sensors are working properly and troubleshoot to find one that may not be working). The ability to record and save diagnostics is invaluable. I turned on the recording, took a short drive, and then was able to play back the recording frame by frame. In doing so, I was able to compare multiple trends/charts to see each sensor side-by-side, temperature, solenoid voltage, etc. Also, this isn't the main screen recording feature, it's actually the ability to switch between charts as if you were driving. /Start the car at this point. I've even been able to look back at trouble codes that weren't showing up on the dash (in this case, an airbag trouble code). (On the photo). Also used it to reset the tire pressure sensor light. (On the photo). The Wi-Fi functionality is useful for updates, sending reports, troubleshooting, etc. The touchscreen functionality was also a good contrast to the alternative fixed button options, as they're not always intuitive to navigate. The large display combined with the touchscreen functionality made operation easier. The auto VIN scan feature came in handy for getting initial/basic vehicle stats. The feature to automatically save previous diagnoses is also useful as it allows you to look back at previous results. All in all a great tool.
