These connectors are good for connecting a device with smaller wires to a larger wire. In this case you can connect 18-20 gauge wire to 16 gauge wire. They are very easy to use, just place the wires in the correct position and clamp like a Scotchlok connector. The plastic used for these connectors is very high quality and the metal used for the electrical connection seems to work well and every connection I tested had a very strong low resistance connection through the wires. This is handy for connecting low voltage accessories to the larger main power cord and they are rated at 6 amps each. No special tools are required for crimping, you can use pliers or even a vise to close them. Once closed, it's a clean insulated connection that requires no cutting or tape. Very good product.
