I like this tank. Not sure about other reviews saying it kills fish. My beta often swims past the filter and doesn't suck it up. It also has a grill-like lid to prevent this from happening. A divider that I believe is flush with the tank and prevents fish from getting through. I've had 2 betas for over a month and not once has it managed to switch sides. I wish the barrier wasn't so transparent as the betas can clearly see each other and try to attack through the barrier. Because they can see each other so easily, they are very tense, which prompted me to buy another aquarium. The filter is a surface filter so we have to turn it off to feed, which is quite a pain. I don't feel like it's too strong and drains my beta, but it does squeeze the food during feeding. My children love the light. It's nice, crisp and lights up the tank well.
