I don't trust this with my food. I wanted a stainless steel skirting board for its density and the fact that it doesn't need to be chrome plated. It's badly chromed. Chromium is a heavy metal that can cause neurological problems, some types of chromium have been linked to cancer (as Erin Brockovich is well known). Since it's made in China, I don't know what it really is. Everything is perfect except chrome. I like the weight, the feel and the large surface area. I will never use it. I took this photo after cleaning it with glass cleaner hoping it would remove some stains or dirt. But these are surface defects. The description on the box says "stainless steel/iron" which is not included in the description. What is it made of? Cast iron, stainless steel, stones and pebbles. What? Don't come near my food.
