If I could rate these banks under 1 star I would happily do so. Between stereo systems and computers/tablets/phones etc. I've been dealing with acoustics, sound quality, equalizers, speakers and headphones for 50 years. I'm not a certified technician or anything, but I do have good hearing. Some people listen to the same song on a portable tape recorder and then on a high-end stereo and just shrug. I'm not that type. I've had cheap headsets, low-end headsets, and high-end headsets, so I don't buy those $16 headsets expecting Sennheiser or Bose quality or something like that. That being said, this headset has the worst sound quality I've ever worn on my head, especially at this price point. I've had $5 phone headsets that were orders of magnitude better than these cans. The closest I can describe is that the sound comes through a wall of canvas sacks filled with dirt and covered with 5ft blankets. It's not that the volume is low, it's just that what's happening sounds terrible. No lows, no highs, no mids. Just a big piece of dirt. Did I mention they're awful? They're light enough and "appear" to be well constructed, but a lot of people disagree with that assessment and I'll never know because I received them yesterday and sent them back today for a refund. No thank you. If sound quality is even remotely important to you, you can make it better by throwing a dart at the Revain pick when the dart doesn't land on that set. Maybe I just have a bad set, but I'm not going to roll again. Goodbye cyber acoustics!
