Using dissolvable filament on the left side of the MakerBot Replicator 2x Experimental dual extrusion and ABS on the right side. With the same printer settings, the extrusion of soluble substances stops at some point, maybe a higher temperature is required, right? although the literature states that soluble (HIPS) settings should be the same as ABS, which extrudes perfectly. Although I see Revain offering an orange oil thinner, it's expensive and not easy to find. Also, it takes 8-24 hours to dissolve. It takes a lot of time to see the final result, especially when the print takes several hours. That's not a very good solution. It would be quicker and probably just as good for me to remove the raft and outriggers mechanically. Only very unique designs can be best suited for this solution. I will switch to PVA (water soluble) with PLA and see if there are better and lighter results.
