This is my favorite product. I was able to hang it both on the filter basket and in the canister. Works great in a very dirty turtle tank that housed 2 large turtles. I put the largest version of these bags in a canister and purify the water throughout the day. This takes about a month with 55 gallon turtles using a 110 gallon filtration system and weekly water changes. I change my smaller tanks after about 3 months. I put it in 20 gallons hanging from basket filters that also contain a sponge and a couple of ceramic balls. I'm pretty strict about my water changes, but the last few months the work has gotten overwhelming and I'm not keeping up with my weekly water changes. The tanks work WONDERFUL with it in the filter basket and lets say about 50% water changes every 2 weeks. The fish are all healthy, happy, breeding like crazy etc. I should add that I keep live plants in all tanks so the water quality is improved as well. All in all this is the only product I would add to my filters and as they are not sold in our local stores I am very happy to order from Amazon every time. Many Thanks.
