The physical review:This mouse is designed for bigger hands (and I thought my hands were big). If I rest my hand on it comfortably, I need to stretch my finger to hit the fire button. I could learn to deal with that, but the main drawback I have is the design for the thumb rest. The sharp angle on the side and the short space to rest my thumb made my thumb sore just after a few hours of continuous use. Otherwise, the feel of the mouse (weight) and slick pads made the mouse glide with ease. I didn't remove the individual weights, but removing them all, you can clearly feel the different. The heavier weight makes it feel more precise. The scroll wheel is awesomely designed. The rubber grip part feels good and the contrast between the grip and the smooth LED area gives is a good feel for controlling the scrolling of it.The software review (or lack of):The fact that no driver software is available is a huge drawback. You are stuck with the button programming the way it is. The fire button is just a left mouse double click and can't be changed. It's nice that it has all the resolution settings, but you are forced to tap through them all. If there was driver software available, it would be nice to pick the few resolutions you actually need. There's no chance of using the resolution button if you are playing Artillery in WoT were it is nice to be able to set it at high resolution to follow an enemy tank without losing your targeting, and then switching to low resolution so you can jump across the map to find another target. With this mouse, you'll be tapping a bunch of times to change it. It does have colors that go with the resolution, but who has time to look at the mouse color in the middle of a battle? I do like the fact that you can turn the LEDs off. I'm not a huge fan of everything having lights, especially if your computer is in your bedroom, as many of these lights will light up the entire room.Bottom line:Without software to customize the buttons, I would look at this as a standard 3 button mouse with an awesomely designed scroll wheel that lights up. You can use "X-Mouse Button Control" software to allow the 4 and 5 buttons to simulate keyboard presses, but that's about it. You can't change the resolution button to skip resolutions you don't need.
