Looking for an inexpensive, lightweight "irrigation hose" I came across this one. Yes, I know it's an air hose, but I'm guessing if it can handle the pressure of air + oil and water that the compressor is pushing through those hoses, what's some water at 80psi? Pros: + Low cost of $9.99 with free shipping recovery. I see this hose is now $8.99 which is even better!- Oil and abrasion resistant.+ Advertised - 3/8" x 25' long.+ Advertised - Working pressure 200psi. ◄ The hose I is marked with a working pressure of 300psi.+ Advertised - Brass fittings with 1/4" male NPT threads on each end. to provide your own - Made in China. ◄ Not bad, but some may prefer Made in USA. ) ▪ The construction of this air hose is reinforced PVC with 1/4" male NPT brass fittings so nothing will rust. ▪ There is a good chance that the brass fitting on this hose is NOT suitable for potable water. ► Update - 19. May 2016 ▪ I used this lightweight water hose today and I have to say it exceeded my expectations! It is significantly lighter but the water flow is the same as a regular 1/2" garden hose. :) ▪ Now I'm planning to make another 50 foot lightweight irrigation hose. the cost of two brass fittings doubled in price! :(► Update - June 23, 2016 ▪ This time I made another "simple" garden hose using a 50ft hose. I really like the garden hose I made before using a 25ft hose and I was waiting for the 1/4" NPT female to 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread) adapter to come again at a reasonable price. They did it and now I have a 50 foot "lightweight" hose. for my raised bottom backyard garden! ▪ Water flow is a bit lower but not a problem for my use The reduced weight of the hose is VERY noticeable as is the maneuverability of the smaller diameter hose! ► Update - June 8th 2018 ▪ I've made my choice to buy another 25ft hose, again for use as a water hose. This hose is a little different from the previous hoses I've bought. It's much softer and very flexible. Also, this hose costs $100 also $7.99 with Revain Free Shipping! External thread 1/4" NPT and 3/4" GHT (garden hose thread) and additional quick hose connections. Relaxation. it also looks better! :)
