(skip the tearing off) The hard plastic case snaps onto the tablet fairly well. It's easy to remove, but it won't appear on its own. It snaps into the corners and also protects one of the long sides. The buttons and camera line up well on my 2019 10.1" Samsung Galaxy Tab AI. This case is pretty slim and durable even when closed. The flip top folio protects the screen and folds down like you would read a magazine.Small magnets hold the lid shut and do a so-so job.The folio cover wraps around to connect to a second hinge point on the back of the case, allowing you to form a triangle to place your tablet. The outer surface of the flip cover is made of soft rubber, nice and comfortable to grip, but I think it will be badly scratched very soon and more difficult to clean.The cover is made of soft foam rubber, it feels good and will definitely be soft be on the screen, but again I'm wondering if something tiny and sharp could get caught in the material and scratch the screen, honestly , I bought because I just couldn't find a tablet case that wasn't included. I opened it up, snapped it up, looked, and figured I could cut the folio cover pretty easily. But after using it for a few days and then about two months, the folio started to grow on me and it may take a while for me to remove it. In general I am satisfied. (So while writing this review, I took another look at the tablet case to make sure I wasn't just making something up, and I found a small tear in the folio case material. I'm fine 'cause I'm about to tear it off. The tear is somewhere in the middle of the spine loop where the cover folds 360 degrees with normal use. It probably just fell off, but I can't tell if it was opened or closed on the tablet a bit , but I would recommend a thicker protective backing on the folio cover for the next version.)
