This filter was very easy to connect directly to my 6" built-in fan. It comes with two pre-filters so you can choose white or black and have a spare. The opening is intentionally enlarged to work with any fan system. I just sealed it with metal foil tape and it fits perfectly. The most important thing about filters is the CFM. Match your fan's CFM to the filter or else it wins. It does not work. Minimal CFM that won't eliminate odor unless you draw. Filters work when you have negative pressure in your grow tent. Great quality filter from a great filter company. Large oversized filter so make sure it fits. Eliminates all odors after the fan system.
