The last battery you'll ever buy, because you can't remove it!

This attached easily to my Craftsman C3 drill and worked as expected. Then, when I tried to remove it, I found that I couldn't. Squeezing both release tabs with all my might would not release the battery from my drill. I eventually found that I could, with great difficulty, release one tab at a time by pushing the battery to the to the side while applying maximum force to one tab with both thumbs. On comparing the latch mechanism to that of my old battery which removes effortlessly, I observed that the red plastic latches on these batteries do not fully retract under the black plastic shell of the battery, no matter how hard I press the tabs. The big joke in the poorly translated instructions is "To remove the battery, press the release button and pull the battery downwards. Do not exert any force." If only that were possible.I thought about swapping part of the shell or maybe just the release tabs with those from my old battery, but while my old one is fastened together with regular Phillips screws, these use hexagonal safety screws with a peg in the middle, leaving me not much choice but to return these for a refund. What worries me though is that all of the other offerings for this type of battery on Walmart look exactly the same, so I don't know that they would be any different should I order from a different seller.
