I’m impressed. I really am. For many years I have used a big name-brand expensive business type planner because I have to plan client appointments. I need to see the whole week at once and plan by time of day. Dividing days in half hour increments is perfect for me. I need to see the days and hours to make it work. Bravely I thought I would try this.First I was super impressed by the heavy black gift box this came in. Yes, boxes impress me. I tend to re-use the good ones when I can. This is a keeper.The overall look of this planner is fabulous. It even has two silky ribbons as bookmarks. And oh, my…it has silver shiny page edges! Yes, that put it over the edge…what a lovely touch.The cover has a nice almost leather feel to it and the paper is beautifully soft and smooth and slightly warm cream color. The pages are not glued in, but attached with sewn signatures like a real book. This means it will open fully without pages coming out. My old calendar is wire bound. This is so much nicer. Maybe I am just being silly, but it just feels preciously special to my senses.The book has a nice couple sections at the beginning for yearly and monthly notes. Birthdays would go perfectly into the yearly part. There are several options at the front for adding various notes and scheduling things.The regular calendar part starts in September and runs through January with another yearly planner at the end for 2024 so you can note things upcoming. The weeks are divided into hours with a line for half hours. I can write in if something is at an odd time. There are some lined blank pages at the end of the book, with a large gusseted pocket on the inside back cover to put things in.The most amazing thing is that this cost half what the expensive business planner used to.I will be using this every day. In my world it’s important to keep only ONE planning calendar. Multiples get things confused so having a single place to track when and what is important. This goes a step beyond just practical and into the realm of delightful. I will really enjoy this book and plan to begin using it right away. Bye bye to my old over-priced business calendar…hello to my beautiful new planner/calendar!This would make a lovely gift to anyone who still uses a paper calendar.
