I was looking for a Dell Inspiron 7405 display extender. It has USB C, but it's USB C 3.2 Gen 1. I've read on many product pages that the display won't be extended for Gen 1, only for Gen 2 and Thunderbolt. But my PC has a DP logo next to the USB-C port, so I think it might work with other devices as well. But I tried this 1 because it was reasonably priced and had 2 HDMI ports and 3 USB ports. So far everything works great. FYI, when it turns on, it flickers for a few seconds but doesn't stop after that. As others have said, my USB keyboard and mouse didn't work. When I plugged them into the USB port on the power strip, I had to plug them into the USB port on the laptop itself. But used USB headphones, sticks and hard drives on it and they work perfectly. Another thing is that the extension cord gets hot when I use it. I hope it doesn't cause any problems because of this, but I've found that the more I use it, the more it heats up. So I can't say this is the best extender for the price, it's the only one I've tried that works for me for the things I need it to do.
