Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ Optimized ST Blade ATO/ATC Fuse Blocks by Blue Sea Systems by Sam Lund

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent line of products, my choice for automotive electrical projects

Good things first: โ€ข I have used many Blue Sea products and consider them some of the best in design and quality Purchase was a must. Contact the company for assistance. They emailed me back in less than 24 hours and replaced my purchase, no questions asked and no need to return the faulty product first. โ€ข As far as I can tell, Blue Sea products are not made in China. The design is done in the USA and the production is done outside of the country but not in China. The missing 5th star is for a recent product defect and what I believe to be a deterioration in manufacturing quality. Last year or so I bought 2 identical fuse boxes (P/N 5032) for different projects. The threaded connections on this last one seemed to squirm and were weaker than I remember. And with my most recent purchase, a product failure occurred during installation - one of the main manifold bolts broke off and rotated freely, preventing me from either tightening or removing the nut. Honestly, that can happen with any industrial product, and maybe I was just unlucky. I'm willing to forgive and continue using Blue Sea products as long as it doesn't indicate a trend. Areas for improvement: โ€ข Blue Seas products tend to be more expensive than similar products that do the same thing. At the same time, I am willing to pay more for goods from the USA. The question is how big is the premium if only the design is done here. โ€ข As I said, quality is something I will keep a very close eye on. As for electrical connections and fabrication work, I don't want them to cheapen their products.
