This is one of the worst things I've ever bought from Amazon. I am serious. As soon as I started attaching the grounding tab, the whole bolt started spinning. That means I couldn't screw it all the way down or even unplug the battery cable from it. It messed up two things. Talk about wasting time. You don't even have to send it back. I disassembled my truck and had to reassemble it for no reason. Waste of an evening I'll never get back.

I need to add accessories to my jeep without messing up the wiring in the fuse box. This side safety clip did the trick. It is screwed directly to the positive pole of the battery. You just connect the wires to the screws on the block and when you're ready to go, put the fuse back in and you're good to go. It comes with a transparent lid to protect everything from the weather. I absolutely dislike the fact that this came with a home solar system and I said it is often sold with them. This is not for home solar systems. This is for 12V DC and the house solar system is for AC. There is only plus and minus pole. Without earth and neutral conductor. I am very happy with this product and I understand why it got 5 stars. It's expensive but the quality is there. We all want something that lasts. Renogy really has such a good product. Like I said, I'm sorry I didn't find them for earlier projects. I used this on my old John Deere 3020 to add extra accessories to the tractor. I love this thing, it's almost all in one. It features main power and grounding, 12 fuse terminals, and a ground block so all your wiring can start in one place. The only real complaint I have is that it doesn't have a built-in main power fuse, which would be nice. I just installed an in-line fuse going to the fuse box, but it would still be nice to have

I bought this with a small Black Storm Box to protect it from the weather. Fits perfectly in the box and over the standard fuse box on my trucks. I ended up drilling the box but caulking the holes with the right tools and I am very happy with how well this fuse box does all the extra wiring I need to connect to the battery. If you're thinking of upgrading your fuse box, this is definitely the way to go. Pretty simple build. When you have all the accessories that go with your battery: 1. Locate the positive and negative cables of each accessory2. If necessary, splice the wires so they can reach the fuse box for some length so you can work. update 07/07/2020: Ordered replacement via Amazon which arrived the next day. I initially contacted the seller on Amazon's recommendation and have not yet received a response. So I sent the original unit back and bought a new one. Same result, just faster. The new device works great with my 24V battery. I hope it was just an isolated quality control error.
