Great goal! My husband and I use this to separate the entrance and living room so we can open the door so our two dogs don't get in the way of the guest. I'm not sure why people say it's difficult to install as my husband installed it within 10-15 minutes. For people with kids, I'd say it's definitely durable enough that they can even hold it and shake it when it's throwing a tantrum, provided it's installed properly. It can also be made even stronger by screwing the gate into the wall, but my husband and I have not had any complaints about having to do this. I think the child safety mechanism is complicated enough to prevent a child from opening the gate. Also, I've seen people complain about the size, saying it's too big or too small. If you know how to measure, you should have no problem finding the right size. Great gate for kids and pets!
