Can't understand the last 1 star reviews. The headlights are brighter than closed beam halogen headlights. They're not as bright as more modern projector lights, but they're definitely better than what they're meant to replace. I bought a cheap "fake" projector that had a terrible spread. It was impossible to drive at night. These lights are changing the world. They emit light exactly where you need it and are bright enough to see what's in front of you. Wide light illuminates everything around. They don't seem to shed as much light to the sides, making 90 degree turns a bit tricky, but it takes a little getting used to. Since the lenses are plastic I see no reason why this would be such a huge disadvantage for others. My car has plastic headlights, which didn't stop me from buying one. Of course after 10 years they start to turn yellow, but a 10 year old halogen will become dull and need to be replaced as well.
