Remote controls work great, no problems so far. However, I took the key blanks to two locksmiths and the first one had to give me the keys back because the key literally jumped out of the car when he cut it the first time. He didn't think they were real metal and too easy to cut. The second locksmith wanted to cut them, but after he started preparing the machine, he came back to me and said that because I have a blank left now, the keys are not metal or very strong, and he doesn't want to take any chances with cutting itself. So I ended up going to a hardware store who also refused to cut it and bought a $70 blank which they programmed for my machine and it works great. Again, the remotes were very basic and worked great, so just buy the remotes. Keys will most likely be a waste of money. I have a 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD for reference.
