Review on SRRB Direct 1139/1383 LED Replacement R12 BA15s Bulb 12V/24V AC/DC - Ideal for RV, Camper, Trailer, Motorhome, Marine Boat Reading Light (2W, Warm White) by Erik Peterson

Purchased to replace the standard over bed reading lamps in a camper van. From the product description it is not clear that they consist of two parts. The lamp and the base, and that you push part of the bulb into the base and then install it in the socket. I'm sure this is done so that the bulbs of the same type can be fitted to many different bases, BUT THEY ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR RV USE. #1. The RV jumps down the freeway and the plug (lightbulb) has no chance of staying in place, and #2. This type of socket screws into place with a stud on both sides and is notoriously difficult to pull out. Since the base and bulb are two pieces, be prepared to replace the fixture if/when that bulb burns out. I would not recommend this purchase to anyone.
