I bought these 1-2-3 woodworking blocks and keep finding new uses for them. While not traditionally thought of as a woodworking tool, I encourage my friends to use them as well. It is very useful to have an accurate measurement of an inch or two when working with wood. They make great fence blocks for attaching to miter saws and are particularly useful when mounted to a table saw fence so you can make repetitive cuts with the fence and miter fence. You cannot use the miter fence alone with the miter fence due to the possibility of the trim strip becoming pinched between the saw blade and the miter fence. The 1-2-3 block allows you to clamp it against the fence in front of the saw blade and still use the readings on your fence. If you pin it in the orientation so the block is 1" wide, just add 1" to the size you want the fence to cut and it's that simple. I checked these blocks when I received them with a Mitutoyo caliper and they were fine. I haven't tried threaded holes so I can't comment on their quality or accuracy.
