I had high hopes for this 12V USB adapter, I wanted to use it on the tire air pump described in the product, it will work. I ordered a small 12v tire pump from Revain at the same time as this adapter. They both arrived at the same time so I went straight to my car, plugged the adapter into my USB, connected the tire pump to the 12 volt end of the adapter, turned on the pump and bam it blew up my USB port as as soon as i turn on the pump. I have two usb ports, tried the 2nd, same thing went wrong, i tried the 2nd usb knowing the usb ports have high voltage cut off to protect them and everything i needed was what i do is reset the ports and both are working again so i sent the adapter back but kept the tire pump because i like it. This adapter may work for your application but for me it was a complete failure so I may try another brand.
