My kit is wired incorrectly, the terminals on the relay are connected to the wrong side, the black wires from the ground source are connected to the 86 way side of the connector in the harness which is on should have been on the terminal 85 side. This caused the fuse to blow every time I connected the battery to power. Once I changed the location of the terminals it works as intended. Great Deal on Quality High Beam Headlight Wiring Harness. A few things: Instructions could be better. Note that the switch's hot (+) wire must be connected to your vehicle's optional switchable wire. I used a mini fuse adapter, added a circuit and tapped it that way. If you also connect the switch directly to the battery, the light will turn on and off even without a key in the ignition. I have ordered four different switch harnesses from Nilight through Revain. The design is great and they are quite easy to use and install. HOWEVER, two of these four had serious quality control problems. One had bare wires and I didn't even try to connect it. At first glance this seemed workable, but when plugged in it caught fire and shorted out. The design seems excellent; there is no quality control. I would normally make my own wire harness but by the time I bought the wire and assembled everything it would have cost me more than this complete unit. It was very easy to assemble. However, I highly recommend soldering your connections and wrapping each individual wire with heat shrink tape or wrap and then covering the entire triple joint with heat foil.
