This is a super bulky yarn. He is very soft. You need to wind the skein of yarn into a ball. I took a photo of the pattern on #9 needles so you can see that it has good stitch resolution. This should work fine in a wire pattern. The fabric is very soft and fluffy. This amount of yarn should be enough for a hat, slippers or a toy. He has to be comfortable too. This yarn has little to no twist, making it easy to thread the needle point through the yarn - it can be difficult for a beginner and a little slower than worsted, even for an experienced knitter. Very pretty.
