works, I can only say good things. The back plate on which the food rests prior to slicing is not well supported and will sag during slicing, resulting in very uneven slice thicknesses. I also see a lot of meat shavings (torn little pieces) that build up when cutting (probably due to the serrated blade and low RPM). There is no serrated blade to buy as a replacement. If you cut a lot of products, spend your money on the best device. I tried to go cheap and learned the hard way. Will have to buy another block. Next will most likely be a smaller commercial device that can accommodate both a serrated and non-serrated blade. Also a note for those buying a large hunk of ham or turkey to slice meat for sandwiches, be aware that the 7.5 inch blade is NOT big enough, you need to cut a good chunk first. If you're like me making big cuts like Sam's Club, I would recommend a blade of at least 9 inches.
