Review on DisplayPort Port USB Output 2X2 Computers Support Wireless by Jason Peterson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works as advertised

I use this KVM to switch between my personal desktop and my work laptop. The desktop is connected directly to port B using two HDMI cables. The keyboard, mouse and Corsair headphone transmitter are connected to three USB ports. The laptop is connected to a USB-C dock and the two HDMI ports on the dock connect to port A on the KVM. Switching between the two ports works perfectly. My only complaint is that some settings require the use of a remote control. Some settings cannot be changed using the buttons on the device. The first setting I changed was to disable the loud beep that occurs when switching ports. It's ridiculously loud. My other complaint is the brightness of the LEDs on the front of the case. The green LEDs showing which port is active aren't too bad, but the LEDs above the buttons showing which ports are driving signals into the block are way too bright. I don't really need these LEDs, so I'm putting them just black tape on them. I'm not sure if they can be disabled. I didn't look at the manual long enough to find out. If they were darker it wouldn't be so bad. Because of these two complaints, I downgraded my rating from 5 to 4. The device works well, but once I lose this remote control, I can't change anything. settings on it. I think I have 1 complaint left. There is no bracket or rubber feet. If you want to mount it on the underside of a table, you have to come up with a few ideas. And the lack of rubber feet means you can scratch the tabletop if it slips. Rubber bumper feet are pretty cheap on Amazon, so feel free to order some of these. Eventually I plan to design a simple 3D printed brace and mount it under the edge of my desk. I just haven't done it yet.
