Review on πŸ’§ Purewell Gravity Fed Capacity Purification Elements: Efficient Water Filtration Solution by Suhas Carney

I have jars of filtered water in my fridge

I wanted to see if this filter would significantly affect the taste/aroma of the water. Please understand that my two jug filters are relatively new. With that in mind, I installed this device and poured the tap water in at the top so it filtered to the bottom. I was a little disappointed that the faucet was plastic despite the appliance itself being stainless steel, but then I poured my first glass of water, pulled out one of my chilled pitchers and poured a glass from it. I have to say that the water in this machine seemed fresher, cleaner than the filter jug in my fridge. I'm happy with the water taste in the device and will definitely take it on a hike. I bring one of my fridge filter pitchers but love how it's made and how I can set it up and pour a glass of water or fill a kettle with water for tea. It's a bit pricey, but for stainless steel it makes sense (change the nozzle to stainless steel and then the price is fully justified). Definitely good to have on hand in an emergency if the water in the area is at risk - burst pipe or whatever. I'd rather take advantage of that than run to the store and fight everyone over bottled water. Get one for camping, an emergency, or even everyday needs.

Pros
  • High efficiency filters
Cons
  • No efficiency
