Review on 🔌 BESTEK 300W Power Inverter 12V DC to 110V AC Car Converter with Dual USB Charger Adapter (4.2A) by Jonathan Clark

I bought this inverter a few months ago to power and charge my laptop on the go. I finally got the chance to use it the other day when I bought it in June and it worked fine for about an hour or two while using my laptop. Shortly after that I started to see a lot of smoke coming out of the 12V socket and I immediately unplugged the inverter and had to open the windows because the smoke was so heavy. I'm not sure what happened, but I can say that the 12V connector isn't that heavy and the heat seemed to melt the plastic inside, allowing contact between the negative and positive. I would also like to add that this device has no fuses. So if I didn't get close to my device to turn it off and leave it unattended, my car would catch fire.
