These sets are impressively priced and easy to test. The shanks are round and straight to within .0005" and machined smooth enough to easily fit in the collet and fit snugly. The sharpness of the cutters is quite good, but not polished, so they probably hold their sharpness no worse than mid-range bits. They come in durable plastic holders that protect them when stored indefinitely. or just copy what was on a "reference" beat, but I won't experiment to find out. I think you have to ask yourself if you really need four different sizes of this bit. When chamfering, any cutter that is 45Β° larger than the chamfer will do. The bevel size is set according to the depth of cut determined by the fence. The only time you really need a specific size is when using the entire cutter profile, for example for a molding or other decoration. For chamfering, consider putting that money on a known brand 45Β° bit, say 1/2 inch diameter, and avoid the mess of extra unnecessary bits. Five stars overall because they exceed the quality I expected at this price point.
