Review on Darice 5 Piece Magnetic Clasp 11Mm by Heather Shaw

I'm so glad I took the risk and bought another Darice magnetic clasp. Had good experiences with one of the three before. (See my other reviews.) I am in the jewelry business and am very careful about the quality of what I use. I know that Darice closure products are not at the level of gold filled or sterling silver products, they are at the fashion jewelry level. I'm trying to save money and check the quality of products from different brands. The good news about this Darice magnetic clasp is that it's surprisingly smaller than expected, but amazing for its size and unexpectedly strong. I am very happy that I can use myself and my customers. The bad news comes again with the Darice packaging AND the Revain shipping box. Firstly, Darice products are constantly in poor quality cellophane plastic bags which do NOT preserve the products during shipping - they fall out the sides of the bags. I bought two sets of these magnets (6 per pack). If it weren't for the strength of the magnets of both sets holding them together PLUS the Maxwell DVD in the spindle housing all the magnets would have been lost during shipping. Second, the products were shipped in a poorly designed Revain box, which again had gaping holes at each end. When I received the box yesterday, our first thought and discussion was whether the contents would be lost again. When the box was opened, the first reaction was "Oh no, gone again". Luckily I found both sets of magnets glued together in two segments on the underside of the DVD spindle housing. Recommendation to the seller and sender of Darice products: Please put Darice products in zips or seal envelopes before shipping, because EVERY Darice package breaks. we as customers of Darice products? Every order we place has a "note" section. Perhaps the "requirement that Darice products be in sealed envelopes or zipped to prevent loss in transit" could work. I do not know. I'll try that on my next order. The above packaging issues are the only reason why this product is rated 4 stars instead of 5.
