Magnetic clasps work particularly well for bracelets, but tend to fall apart under stress, such as when your bracelet gets stuck in your sleeve. So don't forget to put on a safety chain when you buy it. They are just enough. Funny shop from a friend - Once at work I lost a bracelet with a magnetic clasp. Two days later, a co-worker found it nailed to the wall of one of his filing cabinets. Very funny!

I use magnets on my necklaces because some of the newer necklaces have clasps that are difficult to work with or break easily. These magnets are easy to attach to the chain, fasten and hold well. Due to their small size, they are less noticeable. I used big magnets that aren't that strong so I think this is the best option. I'm so glad I took the risk and bought another Darice magnetic clasp. Had good experiences with one of the three before. (See my other reviews.) I am in the jewelry business and am very careful about the quality of what I use. I know that Darice closure products are not at the level of gold filled or sterling silver products, they are at the fashion jewelry level.
