This is already my second Garmin, which perishes in sea water. The device did not even fall into the water, it just lay on the deck of the kayak and was washed over by a wave. As a result, at the end of the day I found water in the battery compartment. Corrosion immediately went, which ate the contacts and the SD card located under the batteries. The device was under warranty. The store replaced it without any problems, which pleasantly surprised me. And yet: if you go to sea, it is better not to allow the contact of the navigator with salt water. If you still bathed, rinse the device itself not only from the outside, but also check its "insides"
