I have a cat that is a tabby/main coon mix. She gets matted TERRIBLY bad. Shaving the mats off was a nightmare. I was looking for a better clipper. After reading lots of reviews, I decided to give this one a try. The noise level is minimal so that was already a huge plus. I will say the fur doesn't come off QUITE as quickly as it does in their product video, but it worked much better than the last one we used. We still had to do the trimming in sessions because she would only tolerate it for a little while before we started getting the warning growls. Overall though seems to be a good little clipper.
