So the unit itself if made of cheap plastic parts and the overall utility for me can be summed up by one word, which is "useless”. I have a long haired exotic cat and this thing did not cut at all, the fur jammed and clogged the blades pretty much from the very start. I tried different blade settings and clipper attachments but nothing worked. Perhaps this clipper would be more useful for short hair but I suggest saving your money.

Our persian is the poster child for "fraidy cat". This is so easy to use -- no plugging in prior to grooming -- just grab and groom. She isn't a big fan but doesn't freak like she always did from the noise of the previous pet groomer--this one is very quiet and she at least tolerates this one. It does a good job on her knots and removing extra long fur.

It doesn't cut my cat's hair. I have a long hair cat and this product is advertised for long hair cats. I do not recommend this product.

I love these clippers! They are worth the price! They clip as smooth as butter and the batter lasts awhile. I recommend! May not be suitable for pets with thinner hair!

My long-haired cat had matted/tangled hair on his back olong the spine. I read reviews on this product and they mentioned it was very quiet. Although it is not as quiet as I thought, I "brushed " her with it off first. She enjoyed it. Then I turned it on, she thought she was getting a massage, she was so relaxed. Definitely recommend! This is a nice set which comes with scissors, oil, a little brush to clean the clippers, and guards for different lengths. It has different speeds and the length on the blades is also adjustable. It is very quiet! The only problem is - I haven't been able to get it to actually clip any mats. It must be meant for trimming soft hair and not tangled mats as it advertises.

Elderly cat has thick fur & has a hard time grooming. Had small matt's on stomach but hated me trying to brush them out. This was easy to manouver shaved through them like butter & noise level was great. He was so still gave him a lion cut which he loves :)

The scissors were very sharp, the comb was smooth metal (no burrs to pull hair), and the plastic guard attachments were very sturdy.
