Please note that this base does NOT come with an E26 threaded base. It must be connected directly to an existing fixture or to an E26 adapter such as the General 16501. Many other "aftermarket" units come with an adapter. In general, the device appears to be of high quality. The spring clips are the correct distance apart. The spring clips were not attached to the device as shown in the picture and are quite difficult to attach due to the spring tension. If you're not careful, the plastic tabs can easily break. The color temperature works very well and is reminiscent of the light from "cool white" fluorescent lamps. The company sells a square version, but I couldn't find it at Revain. For my application, the square version would have been preferable.
