These were great for our deck restoration.they made post installs a breeze and were surprisingly sturdy.beats dropping through to the hoist and looks great with the lighted solar post caps from home depot.
NOTE* you must use a true 4x4 (3.5"x3.5") post.I had to return the ones from home depot.they were anywhere from 3-1/8" to 3-1/4" so they did not fit snug in the base.
