Secure but block iPad speakers in portrait mode

I bought two of these to see two iPads side by side. The posts are easily adjustable and heavy enough to create a firm footing. The only problem is that the rubber in the stand blocks the speakers when the iPad is in portrait mode. I cut the rubber in half and now they are perfect. In fact, after cropping, the iPad feels more stable. If you never use your iPad in portrait mode, the stand is already perfect.
