I bought these because I was interested in the unique flute design and the longer length than you normally get for a 1/8th end mill. It appears that the design of the flutes and their length creates a stress point just above the transition area of the flutes design, causing them to break at very low drilling loads. I also find that the single flute design in this nozzle configuration is problematic in most applications. Finally, these bits don't feel as sharp as the others I have. This is just my take as I am unable to measure sharpness but when first used in soft pine they struggled. Since I got 10 of these, I classified the rest as non-critical cuts in soft material and sank the shaft almost to the groove junction, greatly reducing depth capacity. They still struggle against most cuts, but at least I'm not just throwing them away as completely useless.
