This mount should be able to hold almost any phone, enclosed in the thickest of aftermarket cases, with absolute authority. It's 1-3/8" (1.375) wide, with its jaw depths almost 3/4" (.75). All surfaces able to contact naked phone surfaces are covered with textured and smooth rubber pads. The jaws widest safe-holding gap, at the jaws closest apposing surfaces at full spacing, is 3-5/8" (3.625) - progressively widening towards the main body to grip even wider, but thinner cell phones. The machining and light-gray anodizing are first rate. There are four 1/4-20 threaded holes located around the sides and back surfaces for alternative tripod or bracket mounting options, including the main mounting hole at the bottom, which is surrounded with ample flat surface to grip camera mounting plates with rubber pads. The base is also dovetailed to fit Arca Swiss camera mounts for quick interchange. It has a cold-shoe mount on the top jaw, though the clamping adjustment knob may hinder full mounting installation of certain devices.Before purchasing this mount, I also bought the "Gosky Optimus Prime" mount (ASIN: B01ASWHKZ2) for it's gold anodized, all-metal 2" clamping width, and wide jaw opening, but feel its base's minimal mounting surface, surrounding the 1/4-20 tripod mounting hole, provides almost no anti-rotation friction against camera mount's with rubber pads. Not so with the Cinema Mount. Fit, finish and features are in favor of the Cinema Mount for only $20 vs the Gosky's $26 listed price. The Gosky is nice, but not in the same league as the more professional Cinema Mount, in my opinion.
