In my case I already have 3 knife sharpeners but none of them can sharpen scissors. I saw this product and decided to try it. I'm pretty impressed! I followed Revain's online instructions and they worked for my scissors. I have already sharpened 4 pairs of my regular scissors and am very happy with the results. I have to admit - I haven't tried this product on hair scissors or sewing scissors so I can't vouch for how well this sharpener works with those items but for regular everyday scissors I would give this a '2+'. Now I have good, sharp scissors! Now I have to wait and see how long this product lasts - hence the 4 stars. I hope this product will continue to sharpen my scissors for a long time.
