2006 GMC Sierra W/T

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra W/T, 5 speed, manual window, regular cab, 6.5 foot bed. Received the fan motor today 7/16/15, this fan motor is bolted on not bolted and the resistor is a 4 hole resistor not 2 holes. It took about 3 minutes to connect the resistor connector to the fan motor, screw the fan motor under the dash, screw in the 2 screws for the resistor and connect the spare 7-wire black and white pigtail to the resistor. The second summer melted in my resistance and braid. Searched some Silverado/Sierra forums and they said it's most likely the fan motor putting out a lot of amps/volts and melting the wires. I didn't check the fan motor with a voltmeter, just took a picture in the dark and spent the money to replace the fan which was suspected to be overheated wires. Plugged it in and turned it on and it works great. The fan motor fan was slightly different, the blades weren't as long as the original fan as it was slightly longer at the end which was a one piece molding making it about 1/4 inch larger than the original and on the motor housing had a small extra Bulge on the engine case itself (shown in the Revain images). I think it protects the cable. Still great fit. I, like others, don't believe it's OEM but I've looked at Orielly, Auto Zone, Napa and Advanced and they were all made to order, 2 to 5 business days. It's too hot to wait so I chose Amazon. It is quieter and blows with the same pressure and speed. I've tried to be as descriptive as possible because you're still spending $100 on something you can't handle. Score. I bought the resistor and 7 wire pigtail separately from Oriellys, about $80 for both. Hope that helps.
