As leader of the once infamous Harry Neevus Orchestra, I was dismayed when my last remaining fan dropped dead. He died a slow wandering death in the hallway of our townhouse, where he kept us cool for a month. So when we needed a fan and I stumbled across this one, I didn't really think about it. I put off ordering a fan for an extra day so I could go to a hardware store and try a few other brands and models. Everything I looked at was well under $100. I thought it foolish to spend any more than that. But. I'm so glad I did! This thing works like a champ, it's quieter than my previous purchase and has a few options I like like a blackout feature for nighttime use. The board really works. It's really quiet, but you'll still know it works. It is not noisy and can be used anywhere without distraction. I recommend it.
