Will use this for my digital logic and circuit analysis class. This was much more convenient to use than using the pre-made sets the school offered as they weren't always a suitable length (or had to be shared with friends as they didn't have enough cords for some experiments). If you plan on taking electronics courses that involve the use of breadboards, you should probably get one to save time and avoid frustration. Note that there are three different types of cables. You'll be using mostly male-to-male cables, so look at both ends before ripping off one of the piles (each of the 40 bundled wires is glued together with some sort of thin plastic that comes loose when you separate them; I recommend that you leave them attached until it's time to use them as this is a lot less messy).
